Tamil Ear Piercing Ceremony (Karna Vedha) Invitation — Temple backdrop with marigold garlands and family portrait

The invitation opens on a cream-coloured arched temple gateway, bordered top and bottom by carved wooden pillars painted in bronze and deep brown. Marigold garlands in yellow-orange hang in thick clusters from rope swags across the upper frame, framing a central carved arch. A small painted figure of Ganesha sits at the apex with "Om Shree Ganeshaya Namaha" inscribed below. Two brass lamps stand on either side of the central arch. The frame is empty except for these elements—a still, formal composition against the pale cream interior of the arch.

In the second frame, red cursive text appears in the centre: the names of the parents—Mr. Swaminarayan Mudaliar and Mrs. Paravati Krishna Mudaliar—followed by an invitation to an "Ear Piercing Ceremony" in matching script. Below, in smaller text: "of their Grand Daughter."

By the third frame, the child's name "Sitamahalalakshmi" appears in bold red letters, with parenthetical details below: "(D/o Mrs. Anuradha Mudaliar & Mr. Aswini Mudaliar)."

The fourth frame shifts to practical details: date, time, and venue information. "On 18th September, 2026 / From 9:00 am to 10:30 am / At Arumigu Marundeeswarar Temple / 8, W Tank St, Ambedkar Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu." A QR code appears below in pink, with "Scan the QR code for map" instruction in italic text. "Followed by lunch" is noted in pink italics above.

The final frame adds family names in the closing: "Looking forward towards your presence by / Mr. Rajesh – Mr. Karthik / Mrs. Lakshmi Devi & / Mrs. Meera." Throughout all frames, a family photograph remains positioned at the lower centre—two adults and a young child in traditional South Indian dress (the woman in a teal silk saree with gold borders and jewellery, the man in a light shirt, the child in matching traditional attire) seated before the temple structure. Green palm fronds bracket the lower corners. The cream arch glows softly against the darker temple details, creating depth.
